La Boca Paintings at Malbec Restaurant in Downtown Toronto




Six of my paintings from the LA BOCA SERIES are displayed at Malbec Restaurant during the months of August and September. Francisco Bogado, owner of this argentine restaurant in Davisville, has invited me to display my work evoking the city of Buenos Aires. In addition to my exhibit the restaurant features a tango show on Saturdays. We have visited Malbec with friends last Saturday. We have really enjoyed the food, the singing and dancing!

"Fall- Once Again"... also finds a new home

Fall- Once Again is a 42" x 48" acrylic painting on canvas. This time I have used a limited colour palette and knife technique. The new owner, a very loyal collector, commissioned this piece after seeing a small version in my studio done on paper (18" x 24" ). I find it difficult to part with some paintings. I would have loved to display Fall - Once Again in my studio... if I had enough walls. I am happy knowing that it is being enjoyed and appreciated in a new home.

I enjoyed attending the reception to the Etobicoke Art Group exhibit. It was a great opportunity to share a Sunday afternoon with fellow artists, family and friends. IMPACT 2022 Juried Exhibition at NPCC

  My painting titled Naked Trees was selected to enter Impact 2022 Juried Exhibition at Neilson Park Creative Centre. For the past couple of years I have been working on this series of naked trees using different palettes and techniques. This mixed media piece is part of a small series that will be complete by the end of this year. The show had the Award ceremony on July 21st with great attendance from members and guests.
