Winter 2011




I have entered again into the EAG Winter Artists' Choice Exhibit at Neilson Park Creative Centre. The show was from March 7th to March 27th.

During my time in Argentina, I was able to explore working on unframed canvas as bringing large paintings back to Canada would not be easy. Looking back now I am greatful I made that decision seeing as the Air Canada clerk (upon checking in) advised me that I would have needed a letter from the Secretary of Fine Arts stating that I was not smuggling a Picasso out of the country! Here are a few of the paintings I completed during my time down South.

IMPACT 2022 Juried Exhibition at NPCC

  My painting titled Naked Trees was selected to enter Impact 2022 Juried Exhibition at Neilson Park Creative Centre. For the past couple of years I have been working on this series of naked trees using different palettes and techniques. This mixed media piece is part of a small series that will be complete by the end of this year. The show had the Award ceremony on July 21st with great attendance from members and guests.

"Fall- Once Again"... also finds a new home

Fall- Once Again is a 42" x 48" acrylic painting on canvas. This time I have used a limited colour palette and knife technique. The new owner, a very loyal collector, commissioned this piece after seeing a small version in my studio done on paper (18" x 24" ). I find it difficult to part with some paintings. I would have loved to display Fall - Once Again in my studio... if I had enough walls. I am happy knowing that it is being enjoyed and appreciated in a new home.

HIGHLIGHTS 2019 - Reception

I enjoyed attending the reception to the Etobicoke Art Group exhibit. It was a great opportunity to share a Sunday afternoon with fellow artists, family and friends.
