The Etobicoke Art Group members exhibited again at Neilson Park Creactive Centre. It was a very good show with great work from all members. I was very happy with my own painting and received many goods reviews from fellow artists. Kathy and Christina joined us from the USA for a family and friends celebration. In this photo they are holding paintings from my Cameo Collection. Two of my paintings will have a new home in New York City! I am very honoured. Thank you!

I had the perfect reason to enter a show with Family being the theme. My daughter Gabriela and her husband Peter, are expecting their first child and I will be a grandmother for the first time too. Everybody is excited thinking that soon there will be a new addition to our family. On September 16th, 2012 they announced the good news. The day after that  I started a painting that celebrates this new life. New Life became the name of this 30" x 40" acrylic painting that I have entered in the FAMILY SHOW at NPCC. The two weeks show started on January 21st, 2013.

I was very happy been able to exhibit at the IMAGINATION show two painting I created in the Summer of 2010 in Argentina. Some of you know that it took me two years to get the  papers in order to export my own work. It was a two steps procedure, very well explained in the page  the Secretary of  Fine Arts has on Internet. It would have been easier if employees at the airport knew where to direct travelers leaving the country with artwork.... Heat Wave and Emotions are 32"x 43" acrylic on canvas reflecting a time by the sea when life took a different turn for us after the passing of my father. Nevertheless, the mixed feelings experienced during that Summer inspired me to explore my emotions and enjoy the Summer heat by the sea.

    For the  Diversity in Abstraction  exhibit, I decided to develop two bodies of work using different palettes and themes. I would like to thank Gwen Tooth whom I exhibited with, as well as my family, friends and collectors for their ongoing support. I am happy to say that three of my paintings have found a new home.

It was a great experience preparing for this Open House. It took several days to select paintings that were appropriate for the event. Since we are close to the Holidays, I created smaller pieces and framed them. My husband and daughters helped to put final touches to the preparation. Friends and colleagues attended on Saturday and Sunday. I have included a photo of Ana with one of the paintings she took home.

I have entered two of my paintings in the Falling Leaves Exhibition at NPCC . The show runs fron October 17th until November 13th . At the present time I am working on these two bodies of work with the intention that one of them will be shown in my Spring exhibit at NPCC
